About Us
Angels are made different in New Orleans!
The NOLA Angels is a dance, parade, & social team made up of adults ranging from our early 20s to our 70s who want to dance, parade, socialize, and have fun!
We meet weekly to practice dance routines, parade routines, and to socialize; perform routines at multiple venues; and parade in some of the world's biggest parades, including New Orleans' Krewe of Okeanos and Krewe of Boo!
Our dance style is the Nola Angels' own mix of hip-hop, jazz, and majorette, with just the right amount of sass which we perform to mix of current music and classic pop!
For added fun, and in addition to our dance and parade routines, the Nola Angels also practice and perform flag and pom routines! Our Flag Team is skilled and fabulous with full 5-ft. flags which they spin and throw! For the past four years the Nola Angels have performed as Joan's Flag Corp in the Krewe of Joan of Arc! Our Pom Team shine bright with our gold poms and have also performed at multiple locations!
Outside of dance and parading, The NOLA Angels socialize & volunteer! With socials ranging from nights out singing at karaoke, to crafting, to ziplining, to days on the river fishing; and volunteer opportunities from helping at our local animal shelter, to cooking for Ronald McDonald House, performing at community events, and raising money for local charities; we aim to have fun whatever we do!

Fall is when we start preparing for our first Mardi Gras Parade, Joan of Arc; and for New Orleans' biggest Halloween Parade, Krewe of Boo!

Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras! Each Winter we are in full flung Parade mode, making throws, working on costumes, perfecting parade dances, dancing the night away at Mardi Gras Balls, and of course, parading!

Dance Off & Easter Parade
In addition to parading in the French Quater Easter Parade, Spring is when we prepare our Competition Dance which we perform at a number of events including the Krewe of Boo Dance off! And once all that is done, it's time for our annual "Angels Take Flight" weekend away!

Angel Spectacular & Angel Cheer
Each June we hold our annual show & fundraiser, our Angel Spectaular! Then we hit the air-conditioned hall and start learning cheer routines ready for us to cheer on the River Coyotes Rugby Team in the Fall!

Angels Go Fishing!
One of our favorite Socials is our Angels Go Fishing social, so good in fact, sometimes once a year just isn't enough! A whole day chilling on the water with cool drinks, a pub lunch, a fishing rod, and my Angels? Yes please!

Mardi Gras!
Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras! We really don't need any encoragement here! The whole Season is a party! Some Socials we do enjoy in the WEinter incllu out Angel Ugly Swater Party in December, Craft Socials to make our hand made throws, and attending Mardi Gras parties & Balls, including the Blush Ball!

Chilled Socials
When it's hot outside is time for the air-con or a dip in the pool! Angel Socials in the summer usually consist of Karaoke Nights, after practices coffee or brunch, and our legendary Angel Clothes Swap & Pool Party!
