Become a Nola Angel!

To dance or not to dance??

There are currently four branches of the Nola Angels, not everyone dances; you can parade as a Nola Angel and not dance!  Each Angel chooses what kind of Angel they want to be at sign-up:

• Dancing Angels: Our Dancing Angels learn & perform multiple parade routines and dances throughout the year and have the opportunity to dance in some of New Orleans’ largest parades and perform at a multitude of venues! Dance classes are generally held on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings in Harahan, Louisiana.

• Angel Hype Squad: Our Hype Angels parade in full costume, however they do NOT dance, instead their main task on the parade route is hyping up the crowed and cheering on our Dancing Angels!

• Golden Angels: Our Golden Angels are the newest branch of our Team. Our Golden Angels are our teammates who are aged 60+ who still want to parade & be part of the Team but are no longer wanting (or able) to dance or walk the parade route.

• Guardian Angels: Our Guardian Angels are the support & security arm of our Team. Guardian Angels do NOT dance and take on a support role, undertaking tasks such as parade security, handing out water to the team, and driving our team truck. Guardian Angels do not pay dues.

If you sign-up as a Dancing Angel but later want to change to a Hype Angel, or vice versa, this can be done! Just let us know!
